WRKI is in Danbury and is Classic Rock

I was wondering about I-95's characterization as more of a modern/active station when that post appeared but forgot to give the station a listen or check the playlist at the time. I can report now that it's a classic rocker, pure and simple, with what seems to be a slightly deeper playlist than typical classic rock stations have -- going a couple of tracks further into Pink Floyd and Bob Seger, for instance.

They target Bridgeport and Stamford if I recall correctly.

Their main focus is the suburbs of Fairfield and lower Litchfield counties, not struggling Bridgeport. The signal covers some of Connecticut's wealthiest and whitest towns, which likely means they bill quite well. And the COL is Ridgefield.

WRKI is home to the Danbury market, ranked #200. It bills about $2 million annually, second to WDAQ in the market.

The Danbury market only includes Litchfield COunty and the small part of Fairfield County that forms the northeast corner. It does not include Bridgeport.

Bridgeport is a separate market, with a tiny ´piece of New Haven county and the Southeast corner of Fairfield.

The rest of Fairfield is part of the nYC market.
