WBPT off/ low power?

since yesterday i've had 0 signal on 106.9 around Huntsville, usually I have a very listenable signal well into Tennessee. Other bham signals i don't normally get are picking up at 5:30 am like 102.5 and 99.5.

I couldn't pick it up last night while driving from Tupelo to Huntsville. Most of that drive it usually comes in crystal clear. I was able to pick up Memphis' Rock 103 for a while near Russelville though. That was interesting.

Well after i got in the car after work it was back to normal, and loud and clear all the way up AL 53 to Toney.

Also, Rock 103 is a fairly common catch for me here in NW madison county, I have a part 15 transmitter for my Sirius on 102.7 and quite a few times I've had to disconnect or rotate my outdoor antenna because WEGR would start overpowering the transmitter sitting literally right behind my radio, from 180 miles away. No other Memphis signals make it over this way as often, 102.7 is just such a clear frequency in this area, there's nothing to drown it out except a 300w station in NW Georgia.

I believe some of the interference is from WRSA Lite 96.9. There have been several rimes, depending on which car I'm in, that I can hear Lite 96.9 broadcasting on 106.9. Also, in Hamilton, 106.9 receives some interference from WERH Mix 92.1. The other night WERH was having serious signal trouble, fading out after about a mile or so. In fact, I was able to hear WKUL as far as the Marion County line. A few hours later, Mix 92.1 returns to full power, and 500' away at walmart my 106.9 listening pleasure is cut short by a high pitch audio from 92.1.

Back to 96.9, the problem has occured several times, but is usually corrected after a day or two.

Well it's doing it again, even on my home DX rig, i have my antenna pointed directly to Birmingham, which usually has WBPT coming in like the local 100kw signals, and i can just barely hear it, under a ton of static. While 93.7, 94.5, 95.7, 96.5, 97.3, 98.7, 102.5, 103.7, 104.7, and 107.7 are loud and clear with no static like they were all local, with some decent DX coming from the south tonight (and i rarely ever pick up 97.3 or 102.5). Can't pick it up at all in the car. As for 96.9, never had them picking up all across the dial, I usually have that issue with WDRM or WZYP, on my home DX tuner, since i live 8/9 miles from their towers and my antenna amp tends to scatter them all over the place with the antenna pointed due south.
