WBPX adds another subchannel - 68-4 "ISHOP"

WBPX (ION) has added another subchannel - 68-4, which shows PSIP ID as ISHOP, but the on-screen bug displays ION Life. It appears to be, as suggested elsewhere, the west coast feed of ION Life. Given the name ISHOP, the delayed ION Life feed is probably temporary.
 
I don't think many people watch shopping channels for long. I think while ch. surfing you see a product for a decent price some with the option of making payments, they make a purchase and move on.
 
Home shopping channels are still a thing?

Of course; just ask cable customers subscribed only to the "broadcast basic" package.
 
No kidding! On my limited basic cable package with Comcast in New Britain, CT, I get QVC (SD and HD), HSN (SD) and Jewelry Televsion (SD). At least the last time I checked.

That's one nice thing about my TiVo: I have it set to only show me the channels that I'm at least halfway interested in (which is less than 30). So I don't see the home shopping channels, the cable news/talk channels, MTV and its digital spinoffs, etc. It's quite nice.
 
I just realized something: If you put a "B" before the name of the new network, you get "BiSHOP" - which is ironic, considering its Christian ties...
