WBQW's the Loon

During the summer I was talking to my friend about camping when we where kids. We remember listing to the radio (AM) all that summer and hearing some DJ with the name the "LOON". Neither of us can remember if he ever said his real name. This would have been during the WBQW era of 1320 AM probably during the late 70's.. Any idea who the loon was and what ever happened to him. By the way we were talking while listing to the radio (FM) when we took our kids camping. I feel old....

Wow ... Good Memory! ... I Think It Was 1980.

(Didn't He Have A Chainsaw Sound Effect?)

Curt Van Loon Wasn't With Us Too Long At 13-Q.

He Left When He And Some Friends Got Funding To Buy A Radio Station.

From His Website: http://www.adstrategies.com/

Curt has nearly 30 years of media experience and has operated his own agency

since 1992. Prior to Adstrategies, Curt owned five radio stations, a

glossy magazine, and was co-owner of a television station.
