WBRC Birmingham Announces New Anchor Lineup

https://tvnewscheck.com/article/more-news/253205/wbrc-birmingham-announces-new-anchor-lineup/

Gray Television’s Fox affiliate WBRC Birmingham, Ala. (DMA 44), today announced a new weekday anchor lineup for its evening and late newscasts, as well as the addition of a new traffic anchor on Good Day Alabama.

Toi Thornton is the newest member to join the WBRC news team as Good Day Alabama’s traffic anchor. Toi is a native of New Orleans but has been a reporter at KSAZ Mobile, Ala., for the past three years. Toi replaces Kelsey Davis who has accepted a position at a Gray Television sister station.

The new lineup follows the retirement of Janet Hall after 40 years at WBRC.

Changes are announced at WBRC-TV.

How does a reporter confuse Mobile with Phoenix? LOL.

A little research shows she was apparently at WALA in Mobile, although I've never seen her.

Hard to believe that Janet Hall has been on the air in Birmingham for 40 years. It seems like all the old familiar faces of TV news that I grew up with are slowly going away for younger folks.
