WBRF

What has happened to WBRF in Galax? With the new reporting system at Arbitron there is no listening for the station in the ratings. At one time the station made a marginal showing in Greensboro and also in Charlotte. I streamed the station recently and felt it was really old sounding and seemed to focus on Bluegrass and really old music? WBRF seems to have blown their opportunity to win in the GSO market when WIST went Hispanic.

if you know there's a new reporting system, then you also know that only subscribers are shown in the listings.

I realize that if you do not subsribe you don't get any numbers. I was referring to the actual sound of the station. To me it was very old sounding and dull. The blueridge "bluegrass" thing is OK but what is going on with the rest of the station? There is an "outlaw" country thing on in the afternoon that is a far cry from "outlaw" country! Just felt the station had gone down hill from the last time I spent any time listening to them and with WIST switching to Hispanic in Winston you would thought they would have picked up audience. This is in reference to ARB numbers pre PPM blocking of non subscribing stations.

I think both of the "country legends" listeners switched to WTQR.

No, I switched to WBRF. No one in his right mind would listen to the garbage that is Q104.1.

If I'm closer to Charlotte and it's daytime I have WTIX.
