WBRU's license expires on 4/1 did they not get a renewal?
The FCC website has no new owners or license renewal. Not that I could find anyway.

If this is the case Citadel or CC could apply for 95.5.I believe they both approched Brown a few years ago.

IF CC is interested. 93.3 would probably have to go.

If Citadel grabbed it 99.7 would go. Not sure if they outright own 106.3.But then again what ever happened to Citadel selling off stations.

One last scenerio. The return of WFNX in Providence on 95.5.
WBRU kicked their butt.Without WBRU, WFNX would dominate.

Generally, they DID file a timely application and thus is able to operate after April 1st until a final determination is made from the Commission. I don't think WBRU is in any danger of losing its' license. I DO question this whole thing about WBRU "going away".

If that were the case, perhaps the Taunton 93.3 could go to Entercom? It would give "Mike" full Boston market coverage.

They do.

The license renewal WAS filed.

12/05/2005, and amended on 03/14/2006 (RF Study), WBRU filed a renewal applications. (BRH-20051201CHM).

If those are the station's words, maybe it's a sign that the station might not even change format, but instead, launch a contest where winners get to go away on vacations.

"I'm Going Away Because I Won A Vacation On WBRU!"
