According to B&C's website today(July 11th), this is what you will find during the 3-5pm(ET) slot:

January to September 2006
3-4PM "ER"
4-5PM "8 Simple Rules"

September 2006
4-5PM "Reba"

> January to September 2006
> 3-4PM "ER"
> 4-5PM "8 Simple Rules"

The article notes that the WB will be double running the three seasons of "8 Simple Rules", which means that they should be cycling through the full set of episodes every seven weeks.

That should grow old pretty fast.

Is this a network-wide thing? Will all the affiliates be showing this afternoon block. I doubt WGN in Chicago will show E.R. in the middle of the day, 8 simple rules fits in.

If this were a few years back, I'd swear their new game plan would have been to attack A&E and give viewers an alternitive to Quincy, with ER...but today?<P ID="signature">______________

Yes, it will be network-wide, just like the two-hour cartoon block currently is.
And, as previously announced, they will go to five hours of cartoons on Saturdays.

That's great KSMO WB62 here in Kansas City shows nothing but Paid Programing on Saturdays after the kids wb block is over. But I have a feeling some stations might run the extra hour on Sundays. Which I think KSMO will probally do.

Most likely it will run on WGN/9 in Chicago, but will not be on the national satellite feed. That's what they currently do with the WB Kids block, anyway.

What I don't get is how ER and 8SR are supposed to fit together. I just don't see the crossover appeal there. I can see Reba fitting with 8SR, but that doesn't even seem to be in the cards. (Unless they move 8SR to a single-run slot at 3:00 or 3:30, but I would think the viewers would have burned out on it with the double-run anyway. Plus ABC Family has a cable syndication window starting in 06 AFAIK. So WB won't have an exclusive.)

Actually, I think they'd do better to turn this block over to the "adult swim" folks and see what they could do with it. I think that sort of programming would work better.
