WBT, Bob & Shari up for Marconi awards

WBT has been nominated for a Marconi award in the Legendary station category. Bob & Shari are up in the personality category. I'm surprised there hasn't been any chatter about it here.

Giving WBT all due credit for what they do I'd like to see the award go to WSM. They are taking the harder road as an AM music station. WSM almost made a format change a couple of years ago but bowed to public pressure. Something that doesn't happen very often!
 
There are not many stations in America that have had the stability of WBT - of course three are in NC - WSJS and WPTF have always been full service, adult oriented stations. While all three have played music at one time or another, they have always had a strong commitment to news and community service. Not may states can bost that many heritage stations! Best wishes to WBT in winning the Macroni!
