WBT GETS UNC FOOTBALL & BASKETBALL

"We're excited about this new partnership and bringing two terrific brands back together," said TAR HEEL SPORTS PROPERTIES GM GARY SOBBA. "WBT has a very strong signal and will provide excellent coverage for the TAR HEEL faithful in the CHARLOTTE metro area."

"This is good news for our fans as well as our programs. WBT is the strongest AM signal in the market and can provide coverage of CAROLINA athletics to a broad range of fans along the East Coast," said the school's Athletic Director BUBBA CUNNINGHAM. "UNC has a rich tradition with WBT and we are pleased to partner with them once again."

"The CAROLINA fan base in the CHARLOTTE region represents a large part of our audience," said GREATER MEDIA CHARLOTTE VP/Market Manager RICK FEINBLATT. "We are pleased to welcome UNC football and basketball back to WBT AM/FM."

Seriously. They probably have the worst skywave of any class A clear.

Sorry. I live in NC, and had this all copied and pasted and posted it in the wrong board. IF THE BOARD MOD COULD MOVE THIS TO CHARLOTTE-GASTONIA-ROCK HILL Board.

Sorry you live in NC. I have some sorry ass redneck cousins that live in beautiful GASTONIA, you can't pick up WBT after dark even there..

no one ever looks up at this top subject line- no you do

I live in Mt. Holly, NC for 3-4 months each year. I also have a town house in Bellevue, Wash. Great radio in both places, a lot better than here.

Speaking about WBT, they do have 99.3 FM which picks up pretty well in Gastonia.

Perhaps if you live in Gaston County, but that is not the fault of the station, that is FCC policy for other stations they protect. That is why they acquired the 99.3 signal to simulcast WBT on and get them coverage in Gaston County.

If However you live anywhere along the east coast, WBT booms in like a local at night.

Crystal clear night signal in to Philly ,NYC and Tampa among other places.
1970's jingle"From Canada to Florida."..
