Who will win this urban radio war?? Some says it comes down to signal And some says it comes down to presentation. I know that 103.9 has a better overall signal in Lexington but quickly fades unlike 107.9. 107.9 isnt strong anywhere but it carries really far. I just wonder what the creators of 103.9 had in mind???

I have been told by someone at CC Lex that W280DO covers all of WBTF's key hot zips; those zips make up 86% of WBTF's audience. The battle for urban starts/ends in Fayette county, it should be an interesting book. Will for sure hurt WBTF and WLTO, maybe WLKT too.

They don't really need to beat WBTF in the ratings to win. Clear Channel has enough stations in the top six to win just by bringing WBTF's numbers down by a few shares. Looking at All Access 12+ numbers if WBTF has a share loss of 1.7 they are out of the top 5 and two Clear Channel stations move up in rank.
