WBTM/Danville upgrading their translator

Danville City Council approves Tower to Improve WBTM signal
WBTM "Big Hits 102.5 and 1330" already holds a CP to increase the power and change the channel/location of their translator W273CD to better cover the City of Danville and environs, and City Council approved a zoning request to construct a tower at the station's 710 Grove Street headquarters. The CP doesn't specify the Grove Street location, so likely another modification will be filed. The translator will move from 102.5 to 103.7, in part due to some interference from WKXU in Hillsborough, NC.

That'll put them close to their big paintburner FM on 103.3, WAKG, for those searching by call sign. :D) Been there ('AKG) once, for a Saturday Night Country Music Hall Of Fame show, during the days of Don Carroll and the recently passed Kenny Rorrer. IDK if Carroll is still with us, he worked at a lot of stations over the years, from what I know, WREV/Reidsville and WKRX/Roxboro, to name a couple more. Re: WBTM, met Alix Vardavas one night while getting a bite to eat, after a Nursing Home Service. Anybody else remember Ned Richardson and The Trading Post? He and The Mouth (Lewis Compton) were both good at ad-libbing. Oh and back to 'AKG for a minute, first heard the Saturday Night show, when it was on from 6-10 and Tom Wilson spun the disks. Back when they first went Country, their slogan was Country Sunshine. Before that, they were Beautiful Music and yes, Dave Harvell even worked there in those days LOL.
