WBTU finally re-launches

WBTU relaunched this morning as US93-3 after stunting for 12 hours or so playing nothing but the National Anthem. Nothing spectacular so far except for slams against the competition. No word on line-up yet - they have a girl doing AM Drive today.

It's just what has become of this once-proud hertiage station. It used to be one of FW's best stations but now K105 (which since been on since 93) is now kicking their butts. BTW, K105 is a great station IMO.

With 50K on their stick, you'd think SOMEBODY would grab 'BTU and make a winner out of her, even if they had to reformat.
Heck I worked on WQHK when it was AM and we got more listeners. (That's when they made a point of being "country in STEREO"...)

But what do I know??

When Art took over WBTU, he moved the stick 13 miles & downsized the power from a true 50 kw to 11.5 kw to better serve Fort Wayne. In typical fashion he never did.
