I've been reading posts about a switch over to satellite programming on WBUD...
I'm still not convinced it's going to happen. It's been over a month since since they dropped the personalities. Normally such a switch to a satellite feed wouldn't take this long. In most of these situations, such a switch happens almost simultaneously.
Another interesting factor...WBUD has expanded and (or) tweaked it's playlist within the past month. I have heard songs on the station within the past month that I haven't heard before on WBUD. If a switch to satellite is imminent, why tweak the playlist?
Perhaps they are following in the footsteps of Philly's Sunny 104.5 and Ben FM 95.7...full automation without plans of a satellite format.
If this is the case, they need to fix the last 3 minutes of the hour. Two songs playing over top of each other (one vocal and one instrumental) to backtime to the newsbreak (which no longer exists) is very unprofessional.
This to me is the only indication that a change may be taking place. Either that, or they simply haven't tweaked the station 100% quite yet.
