WBUD has finally changed their website to reflect the new format.Go to www.wbudam.com and it will quick link up with the unforgettable favorites web site.

Here we are nearly 2 weeks after WBUD dumped a high rated successful news/MOR standards format that lasted an amazing 25 and a half years for a satellite delivered adult contemporary oldies format to save money and to look after its bottom line.

What do you think of the switch and the music thus far on BUD?In my opinion its ok but id rather hear the standards on BUD.

like the "refreshing" sound if you can call it that. but now there is no local news, no sports, and always an out-dated weather forecast. but you wonder since Millenium cut all those salaries, will they invest in some type of sports programming other than Rider University sports or Trenton Thunder baseball. speaking of which i think they have a few issues with switching from sports to satellite. . .i've heard a couple of Rider games the past Friday nights just get cut off in the middle of a game with nothing, just a dead carrier. You wonder though if WBUD wants to get back some local flare by broadcasting high school sports. i hear 1490-WBCB in Bucks county doing a tom of Mercer County high school basketball games.

I agree that the unforgettable favorites thing is OK...but WBUD was at its' peak in the late 90's IMO. The music was superb back then, and the station sounded great.

That being said, I prefer the current format to what WBUD was doing just prior to the switch. At least now, you won't hear the same songs everyday. WBUD used the same lame, tired playlist everyday, and there are a lot of songs that were omitted.

And who the HELL wants to hear horrible versions of good songs? They dug up the worst 70's versions of great 50's and 60's songs. They should have played the originals.

It comes down to programming...and in the case of 1260, the current satellite formats sounds better than the most recent WBUD format...even without the jingles.
