wbuf:

i know, the running joke, is wbuf/"]ack" fm is the
-full circle- of all the formats, this frequencey has seen..
but, is Buffalo's [email protected] regretting the flip from
rock ? as they play alot of "everything" but seems lot more
of "everything rock" ( yea, they will follow up Ozzy
Osborne"Crazytrain" w/ the dancehall diva p!nk! remix)...and,
they also will sneek in some "wus/hairband 80s" rock..that
wbuf/"buffalo's rock station" would never touch...and,
Jack-FM wont ever "go there" w/ the hard-rock driven sat. nite
that once graced 92.9 from 8pm-midnite...*BUT* it just seems:

they are reealy..thru the song/playlist trying to be a
rock-focused jack-fM...any thoughts? or am i just gonna
ripped once again, for posting mindless dribble...haha.

in the years since switching over to Jack...92.9 sounds an awful lot like the late 90s/early 2000s format of 98.9 the buzz...when the buzz played vanilla ice, sinead o'connor, duran duran, and other 80s/early 90s hits...

WBUF as Jack FM is an interesting move. Instead of a new format every 6 months or couple of years they selected a format that they can adjust and tweak freely without a name change.
They could do with some DJs though.

Seems incredible that a 100,000 Watt FM is being used as nothing more than a counter to WGRF/WEDG. Seems like somebody could make a real impact with that kind of signal. Then again, look at what Town Square has done to WJYE...

As the old saying goes "that frequency (92.9) is cursed", meaning it refrains from being successful no matter what format it selects.
As I've said, I believe they just took one look at the history of the station and said "enough is enough".
Jack gives them the benefit of tweaking, in the very least.
This, most respectfully is not intended to suggest that they're free from the cost of doing music tests to keep up with what SHOULD be working in the current Jack box of music.
