WBUR's rating and cume are edging upward while WGBH-FM treads water. I wonder if any of the WBUR siblings on the Cape of Cod are contributing to the numbers during vacation season.

I think you've got a problem with wording. "Edging ahead" implies that, in the prior book, the two stations had been neck and neck--or very close, and that WBUR has now moved to a marginally better ratings situation than had existed in the previous book. IIRC, in the previous rating period, WBUR-FM had close to a 3:1 lead in cume over WGBH (FM). If WBUR is now just marginally ahead of WGBH, as your wording implies, WBUR's ratings have shown a precipitous decline from the previous book to the latest one. I don't believe that that's what really happened at all. Are you trying to manipulate the news? Were you perhaps lumping the cume for 99.5 in with that for 89.7 in an attempt to make WGBH appear more successful than it has so far been.
Since WGBH went all talk during the day to go head-to-head with WBUR, they haven't made up much ground in the ratings at all. If there's a public talk radio war going on in Boston, WGBH's shots aren't having much of an impact. Even though WGBH offers a lot of the same programming, people are happy with WBUR it seems and show no need to change their radio presets or listening habits.
