WBWC off the air

I tuned in to 88.3 at 6:00 pm to listen to the Golden Age of Rock n Roll, but apparently they are off the air. Just hearing bleed from 88.1 in Akron. I believe 88.3 was off Friday when I tried listening. Have they been off all weekend?

With all the storms and wind in the area, I wouldn't be surprised if that's why they were off the air.

Probably. Their antenna is on the roof of the apartment building across from Great Northern Mall. Maybe it got blown off.

I think it was so windy the signal was blown into western Pennsylvania.

That's a common occurance for WTAM. Weather has nothing to do with their outages.

WBWC has experienced power outages. The station first had an outage on Friday from about 2:30 pm until between 6:00 and 7:00 pm.
Everything was up and running from that point until Sunday afternoon. The station shut the transmitter off Sunday afternoon after it had been determined that the power outages in the studio building's area were going to take some time to repair.
