Nassau LMAs WBYN
The BOYERTOWN AREA NEWS has confirmed that NASSAU BROADCASTING is operating Religion WBYN (107.5 ALIVE)/BOYERTOWN, PA under an LMA with WDAC RADIO CO. NASSAU began simulcasting WBYN's programming on its WYNS-A/LEHIGHTON, PA, now WBYN-A, on OCTOBER 1. The simulcast is likely to pave the way for a new format on WBYN.

Let the fun and games begin

I think this story has lost it's traction. I'll believe a format change when it happens. It seems strange that WDAC would let go of BYN. BYN provides coverage for that format in places that could never get WDAC or 1160 on AM. I am north of Boyertown, just off Rt. 100, where Lehigh, Berks and Montgomery counties come together. There is no sign of 1160 and 94.5 is a hodge-podge of DAC, PST and who knows what else.

It seems it's a matter of when, rather than if at this point.

I would venture to say that, soon....the mystery will be revealed!<P ID="signature">______________

Up in Allentown 1160 does fair to good by day, a tougher slog at night.

Down in Reading DAC holds its own.

The paradox seems to be that, in Boyertown itself -- the home of WBYN -- reception of the format will be the most difficult.

Here in Allentown we have WJCS, which to some might be equivalent content-wise to WBYN, but there are difference -- WBYN's mix features more music.

If they could get WPAZ in Pottstown, Boyertown would get good daytime coverage.
