WBZ AM now looks like WBZ TV?

Hey, nobody's mentioned this. I just jogged to the WBZ radio website and noticed that WBZ radio has a new similar logo to WBZ TV now, with the block lettering. I think its the first time since the 90s that they've shared logo styles. I like it!

Thoughts?

WBZ-AM is also using WBZ-TV meteorologists instead of Accuweather during midday "weather on the 10's."

I call it CBS corporate crap-ery.

To wit: KRTH El Lay and WCBS-FM NYC used to have unique, individualized websites that were
done up "quite rightly." (OK, the Donovan reference may be more oldies than classic hits... ;D)

Now both have been changed to the standard CBS corporate classic hits website design, the
same as KLUV Dallas/Fort Worth, KOOL-FM Phoenix, etc. Uninspiring to say the least.

Um, I wasn't talking about the format of the website, no no no.

I was talking about WBZ AM using the same logo as WBZ TV. WBZ AM doesn't use the same logo as WINS (but they used to). WBZ AM and TV have not shared a logo design since WBZ TV dropped the Group W font in the mid 1990s.

Oh, I know. I was just making a correlation between corporate logo sharing (the BZs)
and corporate website design (in the classic hits format), all in the (CBS) family.

Yes, and I have noticed that many times the two forecasts are slightly different... for example, yesterday during the morning news Eliott was calling for a high of 89, while Melissa Mack from the television side gave out a high of 85 on the mid-day shift...

Not a big deal now, I suppose, but one would imagine this may become an issue as we move into the winter months with those "too close to call snowstorms".

Is the forecast mostly sunny, or is it partly cloudy?
Semantics... :D

Just saying. 85 and 89 isn't a big deal (it's still freakin' hot ;) ) ... but there have been winter mornings when I have heard Accu wx on WBZ 1030 call for 3-6 inches of snow inside of 128, then later that same day I flip on the WBZ Ch 4 News at noon and the forecaster is calling for 6-12" inside of 495. I would call that quite a difference.

When I worked for then-WOKW 1410, Brockton back in the day
(1980-81) the temperature in Brockton was 70,
69 in Easton, 71 in Stoughton (other cities in our coverage
area) Who was really going to quibble over 1 degree? :D

When Romper Room was on TV - they would say hi to
"all of there friends out there", by first name. I heard many
years later, that they had a book of common baby names,
so they would represent all of the names inn the course
of a year, so nobody felt left out. When they said hi to ME,
personally -- I flipped out! ;D

It seems like every effort to try to take advantage of WBZ radio's ratings by linking the TV news to it doesn't seem to work. Ch. 4 still seems to be trailing. I imagine the typical WBZ radio listener has 1030 on in the car and then flips on Ch. 5 for local news when they get home.

Some call it corporate...personally - I think it's smart branding. As for using the TV weather folks on the radio, outside of the fact that AccuWeather has been a mainstay on WBZ AM for eons, I would think they would rather use their TV forecasters - again, for branding purposes and locality. Not that AccuWeather doesn't have a very reputable operation in PA, there's just something about being able to look out the old weather window on SFR vs. having someone in PA handle weather duties.
