WBZ-FM and WPRI

I'm surprised WPRI relies on "98.5 The Sports Hub" for sports commentary so much with the patriots.
WEEI at least has an affiliate in Providence.I can understand Andy Gresh is known in Providence but they don't even use him alot.

It could have something to do with WPRI and WBZ are both CBS affiliates - WPRI was owned by CBS at one point - and WBZ still is.

With Gresh & Zolak tied up with both Pregame & Postgame duties on air on WBZ-FM with Gary Tanguay (Zolak pulling double duty on CH 5 most games as well) and simulcast locally on WPRO-AM, the other talent available to do anything is low. Let's take the morning shows out of the equation:
Dale Arnold is on Sunday mornings on WEEI-FM on the Football show with Troy Brown and Christian Fauria.
Michael Holley is tied to Boston, the Celts and Comcast and I don't think would come down to Providence.
John Rooke is either up at the stadium doing the stadium announcing or with the Friars (as it was yesterday)
Greg Dickerson is usually with the Celtics or as he was yesterday, filling in for Rooke at the stadium.
Felger has Sports Sunday on Comcast and has as regular guests Tom E Curran, Troy Brown, Dale Arnold, Ron Borges & Gerry Callahan among others.
Tony Maz is a baseball guy
Bob Neumier hosts the Patriots Postgame on WEEI
Mike Adams is on NESN Sunday/weekend wrap show with Buckley
Glenn Ordway is up at the stadium for home games at the Tailgate Party Tent with Deossie and Smerlas (and I believe both Smerlas and Deossie both to postgame stuff on TV in Boston on different stations).
Who else is left? Damon A. Seeing as there really isn't a place for him left on any of the Boston TV affiliates, why not be on in Providence? He does sideline stuff for the Revs in season; but Sunday Night Sports Wrap seems like a good fit until maybe he hooks up with a station in Boston when something opens up...
