WBZ Morning Mix

With local (and national) news available 24/7 on the internet, there really isn't a need to have 2 anchors report the news live at 4:30 AM.

A few years ago, all 5 Boston news stations were airing live local news Mon-Fri at that time, now it's just 2 stations still doing so - WCVB and WFXT. Why WFXT chooses to do so baffles me since they continue local news beyond 7 AM, not having a "network news obligation".

In Providence, WJAR and WPRI also choose to start their morning news at 4:30 AM. What demographic are they targeting?
