wbz radio. 8pm-5 am

what do you all think of 'bz's night programming?

i think nightside with dan rea is excellent. the best talk program in boston, in my opinion.

the steve levelle show is also good. i listen whenever i up at that hour.

I agree as well. Dan Rea is a worthy successor to Paul Sullivan and is carrying on a great tradition of having exemplary hosts in that timeslot (Jerry Williams, Peter Meade, and of course, the much missed David Brudnoy).

I'll often tune into the Steve Leveille broadcast before going to bed. He's very likable and I agree that he's bring the right kind of calm, laid back presence, much like Norm Nathan did. With all due respect to Leveille's successor Bob Raleigh, I never thought he was the right person for that timeslot. Too much boom and bombast for 2AM. Good broadcasting skills, no doubt. Just not my type of overnight guy. I'll always wonder why 'BZ didn't make better use of Norm Nathan. He was a far superior overnight host, in my opinion.

I only catch bits & pieces of Dan's show, but I like what I hear. The overnight guys - Steve, Jordan & Morgan are all tops in my opinion! I like the "laid back" approach of each of them. Much better than paranormal/conspiracy talk! ;D

I completely agree about Raleigh. He definitely shot from the hip and was too grating for that time of night.
