WBZ scrunching credits?

I noticed that for the first time today, at the end of The Price is Right during the promotional consideration credits, WBZ scrunched it to do a promo for the news. This is the first time they have ever done that. Do you know if this is permanent?

Are you meaning just during the TPIR?
As far as I know, otherwise, they've been doing the split-screen seemless teases since the early 1990s. There's even YouTube clips of it.

Not sure about TPIR though. But as a participant of many local newscast productions, timing sometimes causes producers to invent some interesting techniques!

I saw it this morning. I had initially thought it was during the squeezed credits used now. The top airs CBS promos, the bottom, TPIR credits. What's interesting here is that WBZ cuts in between "spay and neuter" and "This is Rich Fields speaking." It's less obtrusive this way and is an opportunity to hold the TPIR viewers from changing the channel.

Not having access to WBZ in this section of southern Maine...I can only hope that their news content matches their promos? ???

I'm noticing that the "teasers" are usually the best thing about many of the stories that are eventually covered. Which certainly doesn't say much for ANY PROFESSIONAL NEWS OPERATION, does it? :p
