WBZ Shuffles TV Talent Lineup

Beginning Monday, WBZ-TV will have a new anchor lineup:

AM: Kerry Connolly, David Wade
5PM: Paula Ebben, Jonathan Elias
6PM: Jack Williams, Lisa Hughes
11PM: Lisa Hughes, Jonathan Elias
Wknd AM: Kate Merrill
Wknd PM: Bobby Sisk

Unfortunately, this does not reduce Jonathan "let me give you an unfunny remark after *every* story" Elias' airtime.

Jonathan is a terrific reporter, but becomes an Ed Harding clone when he anchors.

What about weekday newscasts at 12 Noon??

IIRC, WBZ-4 was the first TV station in New England to start a weekday Noon newscast; which I believe was in the Spring of 1953, which would make this year the 60th anniversary of WBZ's first regular noon news show.

and lets not forget john henning!

Whatever happened

I don't think either are working? Bruce wasn't bad (Jerry Williams used to bust his chops) and Tony was never the same after 'BZ didn't reup the Entertainment Reporter (his girl) and he broke down.

Kerry Connolly : Nice comeback.

I was a big fan of Kerry when she and Scott Wahle were on some years ago but now she is not my cup of tea. Don't care for David Wade or Paula either. Paula has been doing the noon news too.
