WBZ Ticker and Network Audio Issue

Regular viewer of CBS Saturday Morning and I’ve noticed that over the last few weeks the WBZ ticker flashes on and off the screen. Sad that WBZ hasn’t fixed this.

Also, I hear a subtle popping on network programming on WBZ. Anyone else notice this? I haven’t watched any other CBS programming for a while besides the morning news so not sure if it’s a local issue or an issue with shows coming from the CBS mornings control room.

Yes, I've been regularly hearing a "crackling" sound during "The Bold and the Beautiful" on WBZ-TV. The sound only occurs during the program; not during commercial breaks.

Well, they had a major studio/feed screwup last night: No 11pm news!
They ran the "CBS News 24/7" online feed (some global warming stories), then at 11:30, the CBS Evening News rebroadcast until 11:35, when it clicked over in mid-sentence to The Late Show!
This is the second OTA local news screwup this week: Monday (Tuesday?) night at about 6:25 during the commercial break, WHDH:7 clicked over to CNN's feed until around 6:35-6:40 (I switched over to WFXT:25)! I suspected either a Gov Center studio power failure or fire alarm evacuation!

Same thing happened yesterday on the 8:00 news on TV 38. CBS News 24/7 was in its place (in very low quality). Then at 9:00, the news was shot from the CBS News Boston set. Just turned on the news this morning, and it’s still being shot on the CBSN set. Must have been some major technical issues.

That sounds like they might have a core routing problem. It's essentially the neurological system for the entire station.
My heart goes out to their technical folks because intermittent core routing problems aren't always easily solved.
