WBZ TV wikipedia vandals!

Somebody has vandalized the WBZ-TV 4 wikipedia page with all new inaccurate information. Somebody changed it to say that it was an "Allbritton" station.

WBZ TV is owned by CBS.
Ok, anyone?

Changing one word is vandalizing??? On a site where anyone can change anything at any time??

In my opinion? Yes, it is, when someone intentionaly changes accurate information to blatently inaccurate information. You know, I have no patience for something like that. Whoever did that should have checked the facts before desicrating a perfectly accurate article. A walk over to the Allbritton company site and also to CBS Corps web site would have confirmed very easily that WBZ is a CBS O&O. Of course, any WBZ-TV fan already knows this.

...and also, I can't quite figure out how to fix the page so that it will stay fixed.

The "beauty" of Wikipedia is that anyone can change anything -- true, false, or shades of gray! ;)

I had the same thing happen when someone claimed that a shopping center in my hometown had 5 anchor stores, when in fact it had 4 (they actually made up a department store name). I kept changing it and the other person kept changing it back. I finally created an account which allows you to explain why you made the change. So far, the original person has not changed it back.

My point exactly. It is a pain to keep it straight, because you have to get an account (I think I have one but I can't remember the password or how to explain the change, etc). So I'm hoping someone else here can/did fix it.

Somebody's done it again. Now, someone deleted all the previous station logos. Seems like somebody is really intent on messing with that page?

Sorry I'm a little late on thsio one:

In THAT case, Wiki has an admin who is intent on deleting all classic logos, from TV stations, production companies, etc. He says that what he did was within his legal rights.

But nevertheless, he has driven many television purists up the wall.

See:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_Television_Stations

Look under "Removal of Logo Galleries".

Yeah, I know!
It turns out that he claims that these are "fair use" so they should be removed. Fair use? They aren't in use at all! He is making this his mission, and think we need to get together on this.

Suggestions?
