WBZ Weather...With Dawn Hasbrouck?

I was watching the news at 6:30 tonight, with Dawn Hasbrouck in the studio and Jonathan Elias at Fenway Park. I found this quite interesting: There was no meteorologist on board. Dawn herself did the weather from the anchor desk. I've never heard of an anchor presenting the weather during a complete newscast - I've seen it during news updates, however. I find it quite interesting that a station in market seven couldn't find a meteorologist to do tonight's weather. WBZ has 6 to choose from: Ken, Barry, Mish, Buzz, Ellen, and Sarah.

Also, I forgot to mention, they played the (wrong?) forecast maps from last night's 11pm newscast. The "tonight" graphic was for Saturday night, the "tomorrow" graphic was for Sunday and the 7 day forecast was the one that was also used last evening.

Is this only me...or has this been something WBZ has done in the past during an evening newscast? Something at the last minute must have happened with the met who was supposed to be on duty tonight. I've never seen this before on any station.

I believe years and years (and years and years....) ago, the same type of thing happened at WCVB, Channel 5. Chet and Natalie (the good old days) were anchoring and, for whatever reason, no meteorologist was available. So Chet did the weather in front of the green screen with graphics and everything.
