WBZH THE BUZZ, NEW PROGRAM

The Doo Wop Vault has found another home, and that is The Buzz, WBZH 1370AM in Pottstown, PA. Thursday at Midnight and Saturday at 10:00pm, although for the Saturday slot, that might change at some point. If you would like to get a taste of what to expect, just go to http://www.doowopvault.podomatic.com this podcast is for people that have missed the show that is heard on various times on various stations. So you can still get your fix of the Doo Wop Vault.

Interesting... Tell me, how does this help 1370's new mission to be more of a "local" station?

They're still carrying the same non-local shows that they used to. It's like "the new WPAZ" is "the old WPAZ with a new name".

Well, DToTheJ....I really don't understand why a station would do well simpily because it has local programing.

Don't you think it's the quality of that programing, regardless of whether it's local or not, which will decide how successful that station is?

The fact is I have listeners all over the world, 3,467 downloads of the show in one day, which is why the show has consistently maintained a #1 ranking in the oldies category of the Podcast for over 8 months. This speaks volumes.

It says...eventhough the show isn't "local,"it doesn't matter, they enjoy the program and they are going to listen, period.

To wrap this up, a listener isn't going to feel obligated to listen, simpily because they live in the same area of the station.

Listeners will tune into a station if the programing has them laughing, tapping their toes and snapping their fingers, not because they live in the same locality of the station.
