WBZ's Gregg Jensen

When I first heard Gregg Jensen on WBZ, I checked the radio to see if I was perhaps listening to 1010 WINS!! His voice and style sound so much like a WINS newscaster, that it gives me shivers. Just add the "teletypes" in your mind next time you hear his voice on BZ, and tell me it's not true!! :>)
He really should be promoted!!
What's the WINS Newstime Gregg?

I like him. Great delivery! His little tongue in cheek comments add some levity without detracting from the presentation.

Gregg worked in NYC before coming to Boston, either at WINS or WCBS.

I like him too, but I will admit when I first heard him he did seem a little bit out of place but now he just fits right in with the rest of the newscasters.

Close! He worked for WCBS-AM 880 of New York City.<P ID="signature">______________

Is he still at 'BZ? I don't think I've heard him recently.

I've been told that Gregg's Dad (Leif Jensen) was also well known to Boston TV as THE voice of Channel 7 during the original WNAC-TV days. Smooth delivery and distinct in every way. Leif also was the voice of Channel 46 (WHRC-TV) during that station's first "go at it" (1988-1989).

Apparently not.

He doesn't appear to be at BZ anymore unless he's on a vacation or extended leave. The last I heard him was one morning with Karen Blake on WODS.
