WBZ's Jack Williams Steps-Down at 11pm

Veteran news anchor Jack Williams will step-down from the 11pm newscast at the end of this week. He will continue to anchor the 6pm broadcast with Lisa Hughes. Jonathan Elias will fill Williams' slot at 11pm.

Wow, but at 68, I understand his desire to work a bit less and take time for himself.

I still remember Jack, Liz, Bob, and Bruce during my days at MIT in the 1980's -- IMHO, one of the best news teams in the country. Who could ever forget Eyewitness News NIGHTCAST?

Jack, Liz, Bob, and Bruce. Can't forget about Joyce either. 25 years later and people still remember. That is when you know you were #1. The team nobody will ever forget. NBC was hot back then. WBZ had everything going for it. Those were the days.

Didn't mean to leave Joyce out!!! She was the gold standard for Entertainment reporting. and who can forget "Live on Four at 5:30pm" which she co-anchored.
