Well as of today I noticed www.1010thebuzz.com is no longer online. It just shows the directory. If they put another station on the air at AM 1010, you think the new web site will show up here also? Like SportsRadio1010.com did?

Nope. In case you didn't hear... it's gonna be a simulcast of 99.5 FM for the time being. Don't look for a secret web site anytime soon. I think they're more concerned with finding ears for AM 1010 than eyes for a web site.

1010 the Bizarre...

As of 1 a.m., still using "the Buzz" ID's even though it's playing wall to wall country songs from the 80s and earlier. Sounds like a hard drive, not a satellite feed. No announcers or voice tracks, just occasional spots.

Re: 1010 the Bizarre...

www.1010thebuzz.com now redirects to www.WQYK.com

Are they simulcasting WQYK-FM yet? I don't pick up AM 1010 well in my area so I cant check it, but im thinking that if WQYK is on both AM and FM that means on the top of the hour they would have to say WQYK-FM and WQYK-AM Tampa, St. Petersburg..blah blah or something. Oh well its my thoughts.

Ah I did hear and I know they are looking for listeners, but till they get their heads on straight no one listens. They have went through how many formats in the last few years? Mainly sports though, but I was diggin' the 'entertainment talk'.

And as of about 7 am, they were back to running the comedy stuff, so are they still trying to figure out how to put something on that station?

Re: 1010 the Bizarre...

lol, they have no idea what the hell is going on. WQYK-AM or WBZZ-AM whatever it is now they have become a joke.

Re: 1010 the Bizarre...

You can still spy on the (empty) studios by refreshing the image at http://www.1010thebuzz.com/images/studiocam/picture_00001.jpg .. which is a webcam image that is still updating every 60 seconds.

Well, they better be doing the top of the hour I.D. as WBZZ Seffner, since that where it's licensed to.

I am guessing that Infinity would like to rid themselves of this overgrown light bulb of a station. The signal is useless and I'm sure the owners of 1000 and 1020 could use the extra bandwidth. :)<P ID="signature">______________

For some reason nobody wants to answer this question..or maybe it's just that nobody listened so they don't know....but I'll try it one more time.

What did 1010 run in mornings once Howard finally went away? <I know it's a moot point now, but I'm curious. I used to listen to the station sometimes when I lived in the area>

He's reading the newspaper. Must work for Metro......

It is Florida . Aside from that, wasn't 1010 the legedary WALT , Tampa Bay's answer to WFUN if WLCY was Tampa's WQAM.

It's too bad the camera is now angled so that you can't see the clock. What I see every time I go there now is a picture of Tom Krazniqi (in shorts and tennis shoes). He hasn't moved in about 24 hours. It's also pretty ingenious how they got the sun to shine through the window all night.

Re: 1010 the Bizarre...

WALT was on 1110 not 1010. 1110 is a daytimer known now as WTIS 10 KW. It is too close to WBT in Charlotte to have even any flea power at night. This time of year as soon as they cut the carrier, WBT is right there easy to listen to.
