And after that one win, "historic" though it may have been, things generally went back to the way they were before. At the time, NBC's lineup was a force to be reckoned with, and delivered a 10 PM audiencethat gave NBC 10 a huge boost. Meantime, ABC was in freefall mode as the price for building a schedule solely around Millionaire was becoming apparent: no dramas at 10 that could provide a decent audience excpet the already-aging NYPD Blue.
