WCRB Sound Systems was their commercial-free subscription background music service for businesses, restaurants, etc... which was broadcast on the SCA channel of their former 102.5 signal. I don't think it's still in operation since the station changed owners and frequencies, but I'm not sure. Businesses who wanted the service purchased or rented a special tuned SCA receiver from WCRB.
I don't know why it would be in a Hartford book because the area would (mostly) not have been in range of their old signal (and even far less likely their present one), but I think they also may have provided the music for clients on tapes or discs.
