WCBS AM jingles

Check out this WCBS Jingle some of the melody reminds me of the KCBS 740 AM Station ID in San Francisco and some of the cuts remind me of the KNX Telegraph.

What a SKANKY collection of jingles! You'd think that WCBS would have rejected them outright. The music has nothing that will stick in the mind, nothing hummable. No earworms. The instrumentation seems to wander and appears to be more like padding than trying to establish an identity. The cut with the helicopter showed a little promise, but then again, the jingle didn't go anywhere. And the singers. Jeez, Louise! Just when you think they're going to carry a tune they end each piece out of harmony! On a couple of them you can't really tell what note they ended on.

I Agree with you they seem to rip-off the KCBS am 1993 theme and they skank it. KCBS's 1993 Jingle was more organized.
