WCBS FM Online

I enjoy listening to WCBS FM online. They play a lot of great music with very little commercials, if any. Anyone listen?Too bad they're not on 101.1 FM. :(

CBS-FM stream is a shadow of it's former self. My own webcast picked up so many listeners when they changed to Jack that I actually had to add listener capacity to my streams. I guess their stream is ok if all you're into is the same "safe" oldies every other FM station plays today ???.I don't know if it's the exact same thing, but the CBS-FM stream is suppose to be on HD2 on the 101.1 FM signal. Since I have yet to buy any HD radio I can't confirm if this is simply the stream fed into the exciter or they actually program it like a "real" station.BillCapitalRadio.us

Ohh great. Just what the world needs. ANOTHER streaming JOKE FM.It's bad enough JOKE FM here in Denver has been streaming ever since they signed on. Now the BIGGEST JOKE OF 'EM ALL is streaming??????[me=Pat Cook]sees MASSIVE numbers of listeners flocking to Live365 and its oldies directory.... [/me]JACK FM may be BUSINESS friendly, but, as with every other radio station, it is the LISTENERS who determine the fate of a radio station.Just my blunt opinion... :/Cheers :)Pat

Re: WCBS FM Online (Oldies stream)

In reply to a few of the messages on this topic...-The original topic was started in response to the oldies stream online (wcbsfm.com), and 101.1 JACK-FM is not streaming outside of AOL to my knowledge.-Without the personalities former CBS-FM listeners know and love, the station is a shell of its former self. But, don't fail to give credit where credit is due. Musically, however, Jeff Mazzei has done a wonderful job. The music ranges from 1955 into the 1980's. While the hits of the '60's and '70's are still focused on, there isn't NEARLY as much repetition as there was on CBS-FM circa early 2005.-And in reply to the link question, log on to http://www.wcbsfm.com/ and click on the "Listen to the Greatest Hits of All Time" button. This will help configure the media player to your computer.

Merci Beaucoup,im listening right now!!This is what they were for years before the change to Jack right?? (They sound wonderfull!!!!!! -- What a horrible change)

Jack FM NYC have plans also going to stream outside AOL soon.

Maybe someone else cares....
Indeed. Like me. Any word on about when they will stream out of AOL? Maybe they'll do it like Jack Chicago.. and you gotta register for the Jack Swag thing to listen. (I'm already registered, so it's all good ;D)Can't wait... Jack w/o AOL... woot.

I don't no when it happen. I emailed Jack NYC and they wrote they are working on it so I hope very, very soon...Maybe it helps when more people send emails to Jack and ask about it.
