WCBS-FM Top 20 Countdown - 3-8-80

Interestingly, that the countdown began at 8:28 MT, or 10:28 ET....Doubt there's a 28 minute delay online, or they are eliminating some of the extras, to finish by midnight.
 
Actually, the countdown began at 10:28 and ended at 12:30am ET. Extras included.
 
i know...i was listening the ENTIRE time...and i nailed it with the list!! ;D (and yes, kiddies, "Special Lady" WAS one of the songs...) :)

good thing i didn't tune out! the long version of "light my fire" by the doors kept me listening up to when the top 20 started.great to hear "him" by rupert holmes! much better song than "escape".....very good countdown.

Andrea - I think the only time you sleep is 4 AM - 6 AM on Sunday morning when WCBS-FM airs public service programming :)

you're bad, Bruce!! :) But funny you say that - when I met Sue O'Neal last spring at an appearance down in Paramus, New Jersey (she's a sweetheart, by the way!! :)), at one point when things are a bit quiet, she turned to me and said that SHE had heard that I have the station on 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and that i NEVER sleep!! i corrected her VERY quickly!! :) :)

"Him" is a very good song from early 1980, too bad it only made it to #6 on Billboard. Number one would have been great!

I've always thought that "Him" is far better than "Escape".
"Him" is underrated.
