WCBS On WUCS 97.9

Tonight's New York Yankees game went 18 innings. WUCS kept the WCBS feed after the postgame. I was hoping to hear ESPN Radio's coverage of the NBA Finals. Instead I'm getting traffic and weather on the 8's.

This is an AGE OLD problem with the Yankees/WCBS. They often forget to hit the EOG button so their automated affiliates end up re-broadcasting their content after the game is over. I got screwed a handful of times by this, finally set something up that would automatically trigger an EOG tone to our automation an hour after the average end time. This wouldn't have been pretty in the marathon 18-inning game though ... (C-)

Apparently the hole building fire alarm went off near game end and the live board operator was required to go outside by security and HFD which was investigating a possible smoke smell on 3/4th flr. The operator was allowed back after an hour. The cause of the odor was not found.
