I heard they said most likely they weren't gonna carry David Lee Roth.

Oh please. Except for WCCC, Marlin Broadcasting has always owned Classical Stations. Even the former CCC AM is classical. Once more they can't use the JACK-FM Name becuase that's an Infinity Thing.

I was just kidding there. I am however, surprised no Hartford outlet has picked up the Jack/Bob/Paul craze.

This David Lee Roth morning show has crash/burn written all over it. Wouldnt surprise me if some of the former Stern stations dont pick it up (at least at first)

I don't know about whether Infinity's licensing of the name "Jack FM" would preclude WCCC-106.9 from using it. I don't know if it's company-wide or only for those markets where they actually have flipped stations to the "Jack" format.

If Infinity has no plans to use "Jack FM" in Hartford, it may open the way for WCCC to use it.

Either Dee Snyder or Sebastian

The station has been talking to both of them. Snyder is a long shot. Sebastian is the guy if Snyder turns them down.

thank god there is no bob or jack or oz fm (used me as an example)
be kinda cool though if someone named a radio station after many people know you by that particular name. I wonder if your name is jack or bob that people comment about you having the same name as a radio station.

Re: WCCC's plans after Stern? online streaming?

actulally I was thinking about posting this when I got home from work today... As far as I know wccc was planning on streaming online come september 1st. I got a chance to talk to one of the assistant engeneers that was at ozzfest. can anyone confirm that they were planning on doing so (the streaming online that is) I hope they do steam. there is no rock stations while I am up at college in northern vt (well besides wtos 105.1 that isn't as good anymore since clear channel bought them and don't come in most places up near my school)

Jay Raven/WCCC

I can't figure out how to post! So I had to reply to this one. So anyone know what's going on with Jay Raven (Jay Ferrara) on CCC? Is he taking over Slater's spot (his old spot) again? If so, what's going to happen to Slater?

I'm happy he's back, but I don't think it's fair to Slater!

RAZ, on the main board page where you see all the threads, there is a [New post] link near the top right hand side, close to where REPLY is located in this thread. Just click that.

Since Clear Channel bought them? Puh-leeze.
The reason they don't come in anymore has nothing to do with Clear Channel and everything to do with the FCC. The old tower had too much down-ward radiation towards the uncontrolled parts of the mountain, and a new taller tower with a larger antenna (read: more bays) was installed to reduce it. It had to be done.

Thats the main reason. The antenna bays have the same orientation as the old one. (Facing the same direction)

I take it you've never been to http://www.ozfm.com ?

Re: Either Dee Snyder or Sebastian

i honestly cant see dee snyder back in hartford at all... his ratings werent that great when he was at radio 104, and since then he was let go from philly because, well honestly, hes a horrible radio personality and way too high maintaince. dee is a good guy, just not ment for radio.

pretty cool
