According to allaccess WCDJ was sold for $550,000 to DUNES 102FM,SKYNET COMMUNICATIONS.They daid the station went silent on Sept. 1.What were they doing? Any speculation on what will happen?
Details on NorthEast Radio Watch. Fybush mentions the price and buyer; he says that the station went on the air once in awhile to keep the license active, but mostly was Z(silent)
I honestly don't understand how this guy could not have provided a regular service during the entire time he was the owner. The typical personal computer with Winamp and a playlist of MP3's could have kept this station on the air 24/7 until he could have found a buyer. It was a wasted opportunity to increase the value of the 'stick'. Let's hope the new owner will do something constructive with 102.3, other than firing up once a year to cover for the license.
