WCDJ/102.3 Truro

Has anyone ever heard this station? Is it even on the air? I looked at the power listed as somewhere around 300 watts on a short stick. Is this somewhat of a placeholder operation (once in a while) or is it so weak that it doesn't make it out of Truro? Just curious.
______________

I heard it when I was out there in January 2003. I think it was only on for a few months back then. I haven't heard it in over 3 years.

The FCC Daily Digest one day last week noted that someone's filed a petition to deny their license renewal. If WCDJ didn't have FCC permission to remain silent (issued in the form of Special Temporary Authority that must be renewed periodically), then it has to have the public file and the mandatory on-air renewal announcements and the EAS logs and all the other things that any other licensee has to have. If it doesn't, it's at least liable for some big fines, if not license revocation. Hmmm.....
______________

I have only heard this station broadcast ONCE, and that was for about an hour without any IDs or announcements. It has been SILENT 99.999% of the time since it was supposed to begin broadcasting.
