NO - It's a low power community (not-for-profit) radio station now known as 'The Groove'. It's actually on three frequencies - 93.1 out of Melbourne, 100.7 out of Rockledge, and 107.9 out of Palm Bay. They play smooth jazz music. They've been on-the-air since April 2005.THE MAJOR

Is local CHR WCEE 93.1 Melbourne still on the air or is it off?
Your 'Central Florida Radio History' web site is one of the best such web sites I have discovered in quite some time. I've added it to my 'Favourites'. I'll be back often. Some of my favourite stations up there such as XL-106.7 & 107.1-A1A have incredible histories that go back much further than I ever imagined !THANKS for the invitation, and keep up the great work on there !THE MAJOR
The "owner" of WGRV, WGRZ and "The Groove Network" Randy Barrett was arrested sometime late last summer. I don't know whatever became of it, but it had something to do with him using of stealin identities to btain those licenses. If you noticed the 93.1 and 107.9 LPFM's are owned by "different" people, but both simulcast. While theres nothing wrong with that, it's not quite right. When I spoke to Randy over 9 months ago, his line was those claims were brought by disgruntled employees
