WCFL radio salute on 60s on 6 XM

All I ever got to hear from Chicago was WLS since I did not live there at the time so it was nice to hear CFL on Sirius/Xm tonight... I had never had the chance to listen to their station salutes either... Kinda neat how they did everything.... Can't wait to hear what is on next Friday... CC1

It was great to hear everything. Great!

While listening to this Friday, a few questions ran through my mind.

So they have done WLS and WCFL, Which other Chicago station from the 60s do you think they should salute?

Listening to these salutes over the past year, It really does make me happy to be from Chicago. The other stations they visit are good, but a lot seem to be nothing but copies of each other. But in chicago you have the talent, and those jingles.

As much a part of Chicago as ... WCFL

If they remade that jingle, what examples would they use and what station would it be?

A little later than the 60's of course, but I always enjoyed WAGO, G-106, when they did their weather. "Northwest, 62, Southwest, 63, and on your FM it's 106!". Always to the final beat of the music bed. Well, it was SUPPOSED to be. Some jocks sold it well, and some seemed to not really care. :)
