WCFL

This is the best board. Chicago people never forget! The WIND thread was great. WLS is back and Dick Biondi is on the air. Don't see that happening anywhere else. GO CUBS! Why not a WCFL-FM . I think Jerry G. is still around

Hell, lets bring back WYNR, 'DHF, WFYR, etc, etc, while we're at it. Even the "chicken rock" version of WMAQ (remember the "Q" format?). Bring back enough of 'em and we'll force anything even resembling the 21st century off the air! ;D

Nah-----the Cubbies win it all in the 21st!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Holy COW!

Nope, the South Side Hit Men win it for the 2nd time in the 21st Century . . . so says Steve Stone. You remember him, right?

I remember him well. I even remember him as a player with a huge fro

Around, as in alive, but out of radio and in the restaurant business in San Diego.

Many from the WCFL glory days are not around, as in dead---Jim Stagg, Joel Sebastian, Jerry Kay, Gary Gears, Art Roberts, Dick Sainte, Big Ron O'Brien, Barney Pip.

Larry Lujack, Ron Britain, Clark Weber, Larry O'Brien, Steve York, World Famous Tom Murphy, Dickie Shannon and Doug Dahlgren are retired.

I think the only 1965-1975 WCFL jockeys still doing daily radio shows are Dick Biondi, Bob Dearborn & Dr. Brock. Not exactly a full a staff.
