WCHL-AM underwater?

Yep that sure is one of the towers. Their are two towers their you can see one tower in the pic and the guide wire for the other tower their.

If they're off the air they haven't said anything online. Since they have an FM now they probably don't care. Can't blame them; such is the state of AM these days!

It's CLIMATE CHANGE, and I'll bet scientists rue the day it was first called "global warming", because it opens-op the opportunity for half-wits to say "where's that global warming" every time it's cold.

The overall temperature of the planet IS rising. But that's just the tiny tip of what is happening. The WILD swings in climate conditions, and severity of seasonal weather, is EXACTLY what scientists had predicted, for anyone curious enough to actually read!

Hurricane seasons that last much longer, and are much more severe. Winter storms in places where they shouldn't be. Temperatures warmer in Alaska than Georgia in the summer. Tornadoes in places that don't get tornadoes. Sound familiar?

Pay attention! This is EXACTLY what was predicted. Duh!

Al Gore has nothing to do with it. Quit getting science from dropouts like Limbaugh on conservative talk radio. Real scientists, like my late father, have a diploma!

Sorry I brought it up. Didn't mean to be confrontational. It's just my glowing personality. And it's not related to radio, so again I apologize. I don't want to get into a "thing"!

I'll even admit that when Spring almost didn't come this year, I threw off a couple of global warming lines myself!

Get in car > burn gas > go to WallyWorld > buy crap to replace 6-month-old crap that is broken or isn't cool anymore (chuck that in landfill hole) > go home > burn more gas > repeat.

I didn't take it as confrontational Mike. Just pointing out that weather calamities, changes in the environment, hurricanes, tornadoes, earthquakes, and all those things like that were predicted in the Bible (and other places) long ago.
Al Gore is just the most prominent example of a junk scientist I could think of who has a lot to do with alarming people into action and Kyoto Treaties and such, so it has a lot to do with him. ;)

When the News & Observer says a game is on WCHL they don't even bother to say 1360.

Anybody smart enough to realize that with all the development around WCHL has eliminated a lot of what real environmentalists call permeable surface area. So you replace grass with asphalt, you must handle the run-off that would have previously been absorbed into the ground.

Throw in a lot of rain, those retention ponds built to replace the permeable surface area overflow creating mini-floods.

Just like the warning issues, the temperature sample points were once in remote areas, today, they are surrounded by structures that hold heat, making the measurements inconsistent.

Probably whatever way they say it is the way that WCHL sent it in.

WCHL has also marketed exclusively as "97.9 FM WCHL" since translator W250BP officially went live last fall. There's never any on-air reference to their AM 1360 dial position.

Well, they shouldn't.

I used to pick them up in their adult standards days. Even sometimes at night. More often than not, when I would turn on AM after dark (which I haven't done lately) I would pick up "The New Wink" or whatever they call it these days in Cincinnati.
