WCHL Standards & Easy Listening

This is one of the few Adult Standards stations still around in a sizable market. Do they use a network or program the station locally? Are there local DJs?

I give them credit for trying to program to an older audience.

I actually worked at WCHL while they were doing their "standards" format. Musically, it was very intensive on 50s/60s oldies. It was locally programmed, albeit not very smoothly..the songs were often chopped off at the end and we used a somewhat primitive voice tracking method that didn't mix very well. The format aired from late 1997 until late 2002, while the station was in Durham.
