WCKL/93.5 Pirate

Can anyone give an update on the status of WCKL? I heard Brian Dodge put it back on
the air away from the 560 array, via an old transmitter, but I don't think I've heard WCKL
on the air around Catskill recently.

Which brings up another question. Has anyone else noticed a pirate running on 93.5, either
out of West Albany or Schenectady? Back on February 21, I heard someone fighing with WZCR
(Hudson) just south of Albany. This other signal was playing oldies, and just for the heck of it, I
compared it to 560 kHz. and I heard exactly the same songs. Furthermore, more recently, I've
heard what sounds like Christian music on this 93.5 pirate, running over an internet connection that
drops out every minute or so. Normally, WZCR carries fairly well into Albany and as far as the Home
Depot in Schenectady, on a selective enough radio.

I wish this pirate would move or go away. Operating illegally on 93.5 so close to WZCR is just a bit
too conspicuous and is almost like calling the nearest FCC field office and giving your location and
confessing to operating a pirate.

This could be really interesting if you can get an actual WCKL ID on 93.5 to prove Dodge’s involvement (assuming they do a legal ID). Perhaps he thinks it is a way of ‘paying back ‘Clear Channel for evicting him from their property for not paying the rent.
I am confused on one point however. Is 560 WCKL on the air?
