WCKS 101 tower

When CK 101 in Cocoa Ceach WCKS (Which was orginally Wonderful Cape Kennedy Stereo) A Norman Knight Station, also owned WWOS (Wonderful World of Stereo) in Palm Beach) We broadcasted from Commerical Blvd off AIA in Cocoa Beach with a stick right in the Bananna River!.. Cable TV (Communicable at that time 1968) was also on the tower..Does anyone know what became of the building and the tower??

I wanted to bring this back to the top to see if anyone knows the deal..As you know WCKS became WTKS and I wounder what happened to the old facility..How did they move ..Whatever..As I said in other threads, I'm exploring a run in Cocoa Beach and would appreciate all info..Thanks BIG APE!

The building is still there but is now owned by Bright House Networks (the cable company today) and housing the Brevard bureau for CFN 13 (the local cable news channel owned by Bright House) and the Brevard bureau for WESH-TV (NBC) as well, the red/white guyed tower that was there on the left side from an old picture taken in 1987 which can be seen on cflradio.net website on the WJRR page was replaced by an unpainted self-supporting tower (which today has cellular and paging antennas on it plus the Cocoa Beach skycam for WESH-TV) and is on the right side of the building.

Thanks James for that info..Wow! Channel 2 has an actual building..I was Brevard County News Director for WESH back in the daz of Gemini and Apollo and all I had was a 65 Barracuda with a whip antenna, a DR77 Bell and Howell camera and a spare bedroom at my house to work out of...Times sure have changed? Sorry about the TV stuff on the boards guys..but it sorta went with the WCKS stuff

Actually WCKS became WJRR. WRKT FM became WSSP then WTKS. Both stations were (are) licensed to Cocoa Beach and moved at the same time to the WRKT owned tower. They were joined by Bluegrass Broadcasting WHOO FM

You forgot WZTU (The New You, U 104.1) WWNZ-FM (Talk 104.1 Winz FM) and WHVE (One Hundred Four point One The Wave) between WSSP (Whisper 104) and WTKS (Real Radio 104.1).
