Picked up 1530 WCKY at sunset in HD. Thats about 400 miles or so from my location.

All indications are that as the quality of the sidebands degenerates - the first to go will be stereo separation, followed by an increase in bit error rates which will cause dropouts or at least degraded mono audio. Did you measure the quality of the HD stream? Was it in stereo - or just mono?

You are correct about the stereo dropping out then losing the HD.

No I didnt get to measure anything as I was driving. and to be hinest I didnt notice if it was in stereo. I was just happy to get the HD in! LOL

I was dirivng north of Chicago near Milwaukee, and WJJG is not receivable there. All 150 watts of WJJG.....
