WCKY/WSAI Format Flip

I wasn't sure that this really justified a new thread, but as of this afternoon (7/7/06), The Sports Animal is simulcast on both stations. Lib talk did not yet make the switch. They had all night last night to change it, but it didn't happen (not that I care).

Maybe Monday?

I didn't look at the websites. I was only commenting on other posts I have read here, and what I heard on both stations. Thanks for the update. I'll look at the other site, too.

Well, you weren't sure what was going on, a condition that could be pretty easily corrected by going to, oh, I don't know, the station's own website. :D

True, BUT, why would I think all the posts on this forum are wrong, AND the on-air promotions are wrong, too?

Thanks again for the information. I tried to access your website last night, and nothing but the home page would load. Is there a problem on your end or mine? It looks like it would be an interesting site. Each time I clicked "Ohio", nothing happened.

Thank you.

My apologies for upping the "snark", as it were...maybe I need to check with my doctor. :D

Do you mean OMW? It's always available here:

http://ohiomedia.blogspot.com/

I don't think it is attached to my messages as a sig file, so perhaps you didn't know it. I don't post nearly as often on this board as I used to, so I am not really sure what gets added automatically and what doesn't.

If you try clicking on the name here, it gets you nothing, as they've disabled the ability to view profiles.

I heard a promo on WLW for the move of Homer to 1530 (If you're wondering where Homer went, it's on 1530..that's why its called 1530 Homer..and the Revolution of talk Radio is now on 1630 [you read right]. Sounds like a great vote of confidence for libtalk!

Don't know what you're hearing on 1630, but The Revolution is to be held at 1360 WSAI according to the website. Maybe a repeater station?

You misunderstood..there is nothing on 1630 but WLW had a promo saying that The Revolution of Talk radio was now on 1630...my point was there isn't much confidence in the format if the promo lists the wrong frequency.

I'm in a slightly better mood about this switch because now I can hear all three hours of Lionel without having to try and pick up 1520 WWKB out of Buffalo.

Looks like the only "loser" in the switch was "The Wall Street Journal This Morning". Did they go to another station?

Wall Street Journal moved over to 1360.  It's cool to hear "1360 WSAI" again.  Are they running IBOC on 1360 now?  It sounds like the familiar buzzing sound is there during the day.  Maybe it's just my fluorescent lights.

IBOC is now on 1360. I heard it last week before the switch. I haven't heard IBOC on 700 WLW in quite sometime. I wonder whats going on with their new digital transmitter?

WLW has had a very different sound to me for the last 2 weeks. What have they changed? I do not like the new sound.

I can't really tell here in Columbus if there's a different sound; I am loving it without the IBOC though.
A bit off topic ... with 1530 now having sports, anyone know if there's a possibility that the Xavier/UC conflict games during the winter will go from 550 to 1530? Or would having Xavier on the 50K signal somehow hurt UC games on the Big One?

I Believe either Kentucky or Louisville will be on 1530 due to U of L's Move from 840 to 790 in Louisville when Conflicting with UK on 840

Here in Indy Dont ask me why we need U of L Sports here but U of L is suppose to be on WNDE this year as well what will it do to Purdue Sports is the question. my Guess Purdue goes to Q since IU is movingb to WIBC and Hank
